A 100 ml bottle holds roughly 1,000 sprays; real atomizers land anywhere between 800 and 1,200. At five sprays a day that is about six and a half months of perfume. The calculator above does the arithmetic for your bottle and your pace; below is the method, plus reference numbers per size.
The rule of thumb
Milliliters times ten. A standard atomizer dispenses 0.08 to 0.12 ml per press, so 0.1 ml is the honest midpoint and every milliliter is good for about ten sprays. From there the math is short: total sprays divided by your weekly habit (sprays per application times applications per week) gives weeks, and weeks become months. We show the full range alongside the average because two identical bottles can differ by a fifth on the sprayer alone.

Making a bottle last
- Store it in its box, away from direct light and temperature swings. The bathroom, hot showers included, is the worst room in the house for perfume.
- Spray on moisturized skin at warm spots (neck, wrists, behind the ears). Two well-placed sprays do the work of four thrown into the air.
- Your nose tunes out your own fragrance within minutes. Not smelling it anymore does not mean it is gone, and topping up on autopilot is the fastest way to empty a bottle while overwhelming everyone nearby.

About ten from a standard bottle atomizer, with 8 to 12 covering nearly all of them. Travel sprayers and decant atomizers tend to sit at the low end of that band.
How long does an opened bottle keep?
The printed guidance is the PAO symbol, the open-jar icon on the box, which for fragrance usually reads 24 to 36 months. Stored well, most bottles stay true for longer; citrus-forward and very fresh compositions turn first.
How many sprays do people actually apply?
Three to six per application is the usual band. Dense extraits ask for two or three; light colognes and cold weather tolerate a few more. Summer nearly always rewards restraint.
